The filter set is compatible with APEC 50 GPD Essence and all other standard-size under-counter reverse osmosis systems.

The first stage is a 10-inch 5-micron sediment filter that removes dirt, particles, and rust, protecting and extending the life of the membrane and the overall system. The second and third stages feature a 10-inch 10-micron carbon block filter that eliminates unpleasant chlorine, tastes, odors, cloudiness, and colors. It also removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other common harmful synthetic substances from the water.

The fourth stage is a high-rejection 50 GPD TFC reverse osmosis membrane that removes a wide range of impurities, including arsenic, chlorine, lead, fluoride, chromium, and radium. The fifth and final stage is a 10-inch coconut shell refining carbon filter that removes any residual taste from the water tank.
